In Loving Memory...
Arlene "Beaner" Saunders
1925 - 2010

A Note from Darlene.....
When we first met Beaner, it was at
a Spaghetti Dinner and she was a delight! She loved our place and decided to
come on a daily basis. Beaner arrived with her yellow hat and ready for
action! When things began to be too much for her in the middle of the day,
all we had to do was play Sinatra from the Reprise Collection, "My Way".
The world stood still for a time while she sang and glided across the floor
with her hands gracefully about her as if dancing with a partner. It was
wonderful.
Beaner decided to change her name
to Arlene, her born name, when one of our Member's of whom she befriended
told her that "Arlene" is a beautiful name and she should use it. From that
day on, she was to be addressed as Arlene. If you called her Beanie, she
would correct you immediately!
We are deeply grateful to the Saunder's family for their request to those
that loved Beaner to send donations to Selah Care Center in lieu of flowers.
We would like to acknowledge the following with many thanks...
